Data Collection and Storage

Important: We do not persist user-input Markdown content in a database or document store.

Live preview, browser autosave, HTML export, and Word export are processed on your device. Autosave uses your browser's local storage. When you request PDF export, the rendered HTML and CSS are sent temporarily to our PDF endpoint so a server-side Chrome process can generate the file. The service returns the PDF without persistently storing the submitted document content.

Information We Collect

We may collect minimal technical information necessary for the operation of our service:

  • Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, access times) for security and analytics purposes
  • Anonymous usage statistics to improve our service
  • Cookies or similar technologies for basic functionality (if any)

We do not collect:

  • A persistent copy of your Markdown document content
  • Personal identification information (unless you contact us)
  • Any data that can be used to identify you personally

Third-Party Services

Our service may use third-party services for analytics or other purposes. These services may collect anonymous usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies, but analytics providers do not receive your Markdown document content. Live preview, HTML export, and Word export run in your browser. Only when you request PDF export is the rendered HTML and CSS sent temporarily to our own PDF endpoint for server-side generation.
